Los Angeles, California | 2005

The Korean American Museum commissioned an exhibition design for L.A. Koreatown: A Celebration of Continuity and Change,em> presented on the 100-year anniversary of the first wave of Koreans immigrating to Los Angeles. Five distinct periods were marked with lighted towers exhibiting artifacts. Photographs were placed on lightweight boards that hung from the ceiling. These towers and boards were positioned to progressively reveal to viewers how Korean immigrants have sought cultural and economic assimilation in Los Angeles over time.
